世界ウイグル会議副総裁のセイット氏が世界的なイスラムサイト「イスラムオンライン」で生対談するそうです。ちなみにセイット氏は日本ウイグル協会の専務理事でもあります。
IslamOnline.netとは、Wikipediaによると、インターネット上で最も訪問者が多い二つのサイトのうちの一つだそうです。宗教的な事柄だけでなく、政治からエンターテイメントまで広く扱っています。このサイト主催者はスンニ・ムスリム学者の方なので、イスラム教的にもきちんとしたサイト運営をされているのだと思います。内部の人の話によると、月に1300万人からのアクセスがあるとのこと。
この生対談で、ウイグル問題がムスリム世界へと広く知られるきっかけになることでしょう。
東トルキスタンではラマダン期間中は特に宗教的な抑圧が強まる時期だけに、この対談は時宜に適ったものだと思います。

Muslims in China's Eastern Turkistan (Xinjiang) cannot easily observe their religious duties as the local authorities are violating their basic human rights of freedom of religion, especially in the month of Ramadan.
　
In an email sent to Muslim Affairs, a Chinese Muslim from Eastern Turkistan wrote: "The Chinese government is intensifying its pressure on Muslims in the month of Ramadan," said Arslan Turkistani (nickname).
　
"While Peoples of the Muslim world are happy with the advent of this Blessed Month of Ramadan, we Muslims of the Uyghur are denied such a happiness and further endure more restrictions," he added.
